Available Forms of Magnesium

Magnesium alloys are available as both castings and as wrought products. As castings, alloys can be cast in a variety of ways into near net shape products. In the wrought form, they can be obtained as extruded bars and shapes, forgings and rolled plates and sheets. In the bulk form, magnesium can then be easily reformed, machined or welded into desired shapes for an assortment of applications.
