Chris Dagger and Klaus Decking
Last IMA European Committee Meeting

The European Committee Meeting took place on the 26th of October 2016 in Technische Universität Berlin Institut. The meeting was wonderfully organised by Pr. Dr. Sören Müller. At the end of the meeting Chris Dagger introduced Martyn Alderman as the new European Committee Chairman. All of the members present thanked Chris Dagger for the great job done and the new impetus given to the IMA through Magnesium LCA, Exhibitions, Brochures, Folders, Video, Critical Raw Materials lobbying …Chris Dagger will be missed as an active member but he will not be too far away as he will join the IMA as a retired member.

During the meeting Klaus Decking informed the Committee that he will move to another job outside of the magnesium industry at the beginning of 2017 and so will no longer be able to participate in the committee. He introduced Michael Just as the new Committee member representing Georg Fischer Automotive AG. Everybody in the meeting recognized the importance of Klaus’ contribution to the IMA during the 17 years he spent in the Magnesium business.

The Committee members wished all the best to Chris and Klaus in their “new” life and welcomed Martyn and Michael.
