Heat of Fusion for Pure Magnesium

Alloys

The specific hear of fusion is only slightly affected by alloying, and the alloy value is closed to that for pure magnesium.

Alloys AZ91, AM50, AE42 and AS21 all have the same heat of fusion value as un-alloyed Mg: 370 ± 15 kJ/kg
