Profile:
Dead Sea Magnesium facilities are integrated into the ICL industrial complex on the south shore of the Dead Sea in Israel. The industrial site is the home of the 75 year old Dead Sea Works, a world scale potash producer and Dead Sea Bromine, the largest producer of Bromine in the world. The construction of the plant started in 1995. First metal was produced on December 16th, 1996. The company produces pure Magnesium and Magnesium alloys in different forms. DSM is an R&D oriented company and has developed new Magnesium alloys particularly for the automotive industry for power-train applications. Present production capacity is about 33,000 TPY.
