Wauconda, Illinois- The International Magnesium Association (IMA) has issued a Call for Papers in preparation for the 67th Annual World Magnesium Conference to be held May 16 – 18, 2010 in Hong Kong. Recognizing the global nature of the magnesium industry, IMA is seeking industry technical papers with an international perspective. Presentations at the annual event are expected to address topics related to new emerging and process technologies, automotive and non-automotive applications, finishing & joining, environmental considerations, and part processing.
The deadline for abstract submissions is January 8, 2010. Based on abstracts to be reviewed by the Program Committee, authors will be invited to submit papers. Final papers will be accepted based on criteria such as relevance, usefulness, uniqueness, accuracy, focus and quality. Authors are encouraged to challenge every facet of the magnesium industry to raise the level of quality and performance. Those whose abstracts are accepted will have until March 12, 2010 to submit the full manuscript.
"The 2010 World Conference in Hong Kong provides a unique opportunity to share information and raise the expectations of the worldwide magnesium industry," commented IMA Executive Vice President Greg Patzer.
The official language of the Conference will be English, although there will be simultaneous interpretation in Chinese. All abstracts and final selected manuscripts need to be submitted in English. Abstracts and Papers submitted by Chinese authors should be submitted in both English and Chinese.
Presentations from authors, including world-renowned magnesium experts, are expected to be featured at the 2010 World Conference in May and papers will be published in the 67th Annual World Magnesium Conference Proceedings.
